Crystal Palace have reportedly seen a £14m bid for striker Fyodor Chalov rejected by CSKA Moscow.
The 21-year-old claimed 17 goals and registered seven assists over the course of the 2018-19 campaign, receiving his first pair of caps for the Russian national team in the process.
Roy Hodgson, who is determined to add attacking reinforcements to his squad before the transfer deadline on August 8, has reportedly targeted Brentford winger Ollie Watkins as well as Chalov.
According to Sky Sports News, Palace will have to increase their offer if they are to secure the youngster's services this summer.
Chalov, a first team regular at CSKA since 2016, has reportedly attracted interest from Arsenal in this window.
Palace are also on the search for defensive reinforcements, with reports suggesting that the Premier League club are targeting free agent Gary Cahill as well as Atalanta right-back Timothy Castagne as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
