Crystal Palace are considering the possibility of cashing in on forward Wilfried Zaha this summer ahead of his contract expiration in 2023, according to a report.

Crystal Palace have considered the possibility of cashing in on forward Wilfried Zaha this summer ahead of his contract expiration in 2023, according to a report.

The Ivorian has long been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park in recent years, with many offers and transfer requests failing to materialise.

However, with the 29-year-old entering the final year of his five-year contract at the end of the season, the Eagles are considering the sale of Zaha according to The Times.

The report suggests that the Palace hierarchy are facing the decision of cashing in this summer, in what could be their final opportunity to command a significant transfer fee for their asset, or risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

As there has been during many transfer windows in recent seasons, speculation around Zaha's future is sure to be considerable in the summer, with the forward wishing to test himself at a higher level in the latter stages of his career.

Zaha has made 29 Premier League appearances for Patrick Vieira's side during the 2021-22 season so far, scoring 12 league goals and registering one assist.
