Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle has reportedly rejected the chance to join Bristol City as he wants to continue playing in the Premier League.
Eagles boss Alan Pardew had suggested that the 24-year-old would not be leaving Selhurst Park on the cheap before the end of the transfer window, but the club are believed to have accepted a £6m bid from the Robins.
However, ESPN claims that Gayle is reluctant to drop down to the Championship to join City.
Queens Park Rangers, Fulham, Middlesbrough and Wolves have all been linked with the striker, but Gayle appears to be keen on remaining in the Premier League, despite struggling to earn regular first-team action under Pardew's stewardship.
Gayle scored 10 goals in 29 games for Palace last season.
