Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has insisted that he has received no offers for full-back Nathaniel Clyne.
The 20-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, has been linked with summer moves to Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle United.
However, Freedman is yet to receive a call from a fellow manager regarding Clyne's services and he went on to blame social networking sites for the speculation.
"No-one has called me about Nathaniel. This is what happens on Twitter," he told the London Evening Standard.
"That's what annoys me, all these rumours built up on social interacting sites, people dreaming up this stuff. Then [media] guys jump on the bandwagon, and suddenly it's being regarded as fact. No-one has ever called me about Nathaniel Clyne.
"We have made him a new contract offer because we want him to stay and continue his improvement with us - not see him tucked away in the reserves somewhere of a big club, or helping a struggling Premier League club, even another Championship side."
The club's chief executive Steve Parish recently revealed that the Eagles would not stop Clyne from leaving Selhurst Park.
