Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has hit out at speculation linking Wilfried Zaha with a move away from the club.
The 20-year-old's form in the opening few months of the season has led to reported interest from Premier League teams such as Manchester United and Arsenal.
When asked if Zaha could be on his way out of Selhurst Park, Holloway told reporters: "I'm going to treat that with the contempt it deserves. He's our player, he's got a four-and-a-half-year contract, so don't speculate on speculation.
"You can talk about anybody you like, I'm not going to answer a question 'if'. Really 'if' is the biggest word in the dictionary, isn't it?
"Because it's got an unended meaning. What if? What if you were a lady called Jane? Would you still ask me that question? What if I was your auntie not your uncle? It's all nonsense."
Zaha has scored four goals in 21 appearances for Palace this season.
