Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has played down speculation linking the club with a move for Norwich City midfielder Jacob Butterfield.
The 22-year-old returned to the Canaries earlier this week following a two-month loan spell with Bolton Wanderers.
"There is nobody we should be linked with," Holloway told reporters.
"I've made lots of phone calls, which I won't talk about, but there is nobody we are linked with at the moment.
"There are lots of fishing nets going out to see what we can get but we are not ready to trawl them in yet."
Butterfield made two appearances for Norwich in the Capital One Cup earlier this season before departing for the Reebok Stadium.
