Steve Parish: 'Crystal Palace to miss out on Charlie Austin'

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish admits that the Eagles will probably lose out on Charlie Austin to a bigger Premier League club.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has revealed that the Eagles are likely to miss out on Charlie Austin to a bigger Premier League club.

The Queens Park Rangers striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Loftus Road, with Newcastle United, Leicester City, West Ham United and Bournemouth among the reported destinations.

Parish has confirmed that Palace are interested in the former Burnley frontman, who is said to have had a £15m asking price placed upon him by QPR.

"Charlie is definitely a player we admire but there are lots of clubs interested in him," Parish told talkSPORT.

"There's a good chance he will go beyond us, so to speak."

Austin scored 18 goals in the Premier League last term.
