Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has reportedly identified Islam Slimani as the striker to ease his side's goalscoring problems.
The Eagles have found the net just eight times in their last 10 Premier League outings this season.
According to the London Evening Standard, that is a statistic that is concerning Pardew, who could make a January bid for Sporting Lisbon's Algerian international.
Slimani has scored seven goals this term, which has helped Sporting to open up a five-point lead at the top of the Primeira Liga.
The report adds, though, that Palace may be put off by Sporting's £14m valuation of the 27-year-old.
