Dagenham & Redbridge's Zavon Hines, Phil Brown of Southend United win League Two monthly awards

Zavon Hines of Dagenham & Redbridge and Southend United's Phil Brown win the League Two Player and Manager of the Month for November.

Zavon Hines of Dagenham & Redbridge and Southend United's Phil Brown have been revealed as November's Player and Manager of the Month for League Two.

Hines claimed the player award ahead of Ollie Banks of Chesterfield, Southend United's Luke Prosser and Steven Schumacher of Fleetwood Town.

The former West Ham United winger scored three times and provided an assist for the Daggers as they kept pace in what is an incredibly tight top half in League Two.

Brown, meanwhile, guided the Shrimpers to an unbeaten November in which they almost won all five games.

They were on the verge of claiming a maximum 15 out of 15 points and going top of the table when Cheltenham scored a late equaliser at the weekend to leave Southend a point shy of Oxford United at the top of the table.

The other three nominees for the manager's award were James Beattie of Accrington Stanley, Burton Albion's Gary Rowett and John Ward of Bristol City.
