Cardiff have taken a 1-0 lead at half-time in their match at Derby County this evening.
Craig Bellamy had a chance to put the league leaders ahead in the opening minutes, but the majority of the early action went to the home side.
The visitors broke the deadlock after 11 minutes. Adam Legzdins saved a header from Mark Hudson but Heidar Helguson followed up with a close-range shot to give Cardiff the lead.
Conor Sammon looked threatening at the other end of the pitch for Derby, but couldn't find the back of the net.
David Marshall kept Cardiff ahead as the Rams pushed for an equaliser.
Derby saw plenty of the ball in the first half but will need to to improve their finishing touch in the second to avoid defeat.
