Paul Green is to leave Derby County at the end of the season.

Paul Green looks likely to leave Derby County this summer after turning down a new deal.

The Republic of Ireland international has now told the club he will be leaving after the player couldn't agree terms with Nigel Clough's side.

"We made him an offer last week, which we feel was a fair one taking a number of factors into consideration, but unfortunately he has informed us that he won't be signing," Clough told the club's official website.

"There's no malice from anyone at the club against Paul; he's a great lad and a very popular member of the squad."

Green has been at Pride Park for four years and was absent for the Rams' 2-1 win at Portsmouth on Saturday.
