Reading's leading goalscorer Nick Blackman has finalised a move to fellow Championship outfit Derby County for an undisclosed fee.
A report yesterday claimed that the 26-year-old was in talks with Sheffield Wednesday over a switch to Hillsborough.
However, strong rumours broke late last night that Blackman had turned down Wednesday's advances in favour of joining Paul Clement's Rams.
Derby have now confirmed the arrival of the striker, who has agreed a deal at the iPro Stadium that runs until the summer of 2019.
"Nick Blackman has been in excellent form for Reading this season so we are delighted to bring one of the Championship's leading goalscorers to the club," Clement told the club's official website.
"There has been a lot of interest in him so we're naturally happy that he has chosen to join us.
"We've got a number of talented players in the attacking areas of our squad and Nick only enhances that."
Salford-born Blackman has scored 13 goals in all competitions so far this season.
