Derby County defender Raul Albentosa has joined Malaga on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has made just nine appearances for the Rams since arriving at the club from Eibar in January.
Manager Paul Clement believes that the move will give Albentosa some confidence following a tough start to life in England.
"I think he struggled to adapt a bit, particularly culturally, so this move is good for him. He's going to a good club," Clement told Derby's official website.
"He will have a positive experience there and we will monitor him very closely. He's still a Derby County player and we hope he does very well."
Derby start the new Championship season with a trip to Bolton Wanderers on August 8.
