Viktoria Plzen have been knocked out of the Europa League after a late penalty was awarded against them in their clash against already-eliminated Dinamo Minsk.
Jan Kopic provided some cause for concern for Dinamo in the early stages of the match as he sent a decent ball into the box, but Aleksandr Gutor was there to cut out the attack.
Plzen thought that they had scored in the 23rd minute when Ajdin Mahmutovic found the back of the net, but the assistant referee flagged offside therefore ruling the goal out.
Both sides struggled to find the breakthrough as the half went on, and Plzen goalkeeper Petr Bolek was called upon to make a save when Fatos Beqiraj launched a strike towards the bottom left corner.
After the break, Jan Kovarik came close to causing Dinamo some trouble when he picked the ball up inside the box before firing a shot at goal, but his attempt sailed over the crossbar.
As the game continued, Dinamo managed to take control of the middle of the park, and they had chances of their own - one of which resulted in Shikoze Udoji blazing the ball over the bar after moving to the edge of the box.
It was late drama in the game when Oleg Veretilo was sent off for a second bookable offence and a penalty was awarded in added time.
Despite the keeper getting a hand on the ball, Nenad Adamovic was able to snatch the rebound and claim all three points.
