Half-Time Report: Doncaster Rovers cruising against Scunthorpe United

Doncaster seem certain to finish above Scunthorpe in the League One table having taken a 3-0 lead into the break of their clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster Rovers seem certain to finish above Scunthorpe United in League One having taken a 3-0 lead into the break of their clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Nathan Tyson and Rob Jones added to a Niall Canavan own goal to put Donny in control against Scunny, who started the day two points below Rovers in the table.

Canavan got the final touch to a Kyle Bennett free kick to gift the hosts the lead on 11 minutes.

Scunthorpe somehow failed to level when Neal Bishop hit the crossbar after Kevin van Veen had gone down in the box appealing for a penalty under Marko Marosi's challenge.

Harry Forrester twice went close for Donny with long-range efforts, and the lively midfielder did play a role in his side's second as he released Bennett to cross for Tyson to convert his 12th of the season.

There was still time for Paul Dickov's men, who could finish as high as 10th in the table if results elsewhere this afternoon go their way, to extend their lead as Jones headed home from a corner two minutes into stoppage time.
