Hull City defender Conor Townsend has joined Dundee United on a season-long loan.
The deal comes after United defender Andrew Robertson moved the other way to Hull on a three-year deal.
Townsend signed his first professional contract with the Premier League club in 2011 before loan spells with Grimsby Town, Chesterfield and Carlisle United.
"I was delighted to secure Conor so quickly. It was important to get him in early so he can settle in before the start of the competitive action," United boss Jackie McNamara told the club's official website.
"He is a real good defender who will do a job here. His athleticism and height will enhance our squad."
Dundee begin their Scottish Premiership campaign with a trip to Aberdeen on August 10.
