Dundee United and Dundee have played out a goalless first half in their derby clash at Tannadice Park this evening.

Paul McGinn had an early chance for the hosts with a low drive that was palmed away by Luis Zwick.

Rory Loy and Gary Harkins then saw their attempts on goal saved by Zwick, as the visitors enjoyed a dominant start.

United began to show more of a threat and Aidan Connolly saw his shot blocked before Scott Fraser's long-range attempt was saved by Scott Bain.

At the end of the first half, Greg Stewart saw his volley kept out by Zwick and Loy fired wide from the rebound, as the teams went into the break on level terms.
