Dundee United moved into the fourth round of the Scottish League Cup at the expense of local rivals Dundee after a 1-0 win this evening.
Jaroslaw Fojut's stoppage-time strike was enough to seal the result for United, who played with a man advantage for most of the time.
The visiting Dundee were forced to play over nearly 70 minutes with 10 men after Martin Boyle was given a straight red card.
Paul McGowan went close for the visitors with a long-range effort minutes after Fojut had been denied with a header in the second half.
However, with extra time on the horizon Fojut popped up with a header two minutes into added-on time to seal their progress into the next round.
