Midfielder Simon Ferry leaves Dundee by mutual consent after one season with the club.

Simon Ferry has left Dundee by mutual consent.

The midfielder signed for the Dens Park club last summer and made 23 appearances.

The former Swindon and Portsmouth midfielder had played just once so far this season, in their opening-day win over Kilmarnock.

As a free agent, Ferry will be allowed to sign for a club outside of the transfer window.
