Stranraer have moved into first position in the Scottish League One table after earning a slender 1-0 victory over Dunfermline this afternoon, thanks to a solitary second-half goal from Frank McKeown.
Elsewhere, Forfar Athletic slipped into second place as they could only muster a 1-1 draw with away side Airdrieonians, with Michael Dunlop scoring late in the game to earn the home side a vital point.
Brechin City did all that they could to push towards breaking into the top four, as goals from Alan Trouten and Robert Thomson gave them a 2-0 away win over 10-man Stenhousemuir.
Peterhead also grabbed a victory as they looked to keep in touch with Brechin, although they had to rely on Jamie Stevenson's second-half strike to scrape past Greenock Morton.
Finally, Stirling Albion notched an important point as they attempt to lift themselves away from the relegation zone, but it could have been even better had Craig Beattie not bagged a 90th-minute equaliser to earn Ayr United a 2-2 draw at Somerset Park.
