Chelsea and Napoli's interest in Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly 'lulled' ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

Garnacho has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the current transfer window despite being under contract until the summer of 2028.

Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna recently confirmed his club's interest in signing Garnacho after failing with a £40m bid for the Man United forward.

Chelsea, have also been mentioned as a potential suitor following speculation that they were prepared to meet with their Premier League rivals over a move for the Argentine.

The 19-year-old is already being linked with a move to Europe despite only playing one full season for Corinthians.

In fact, this time last year, Bidon was still waiting to make his first-team debut which ultimately arrived in a Copa do Brasil game against Sao Bernardo in March 2024.

Bidon then made his Brasileiro bow in a 1-0 defeat to Red Bull Bragantino in April, before eventually establishing himself as a regular fixture in the first-team setup.

Man United squad vs. FCSB: Are Rashford, Garnacho included?

    © Imago

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed his 21-man squad for Thursday's Europa League clash with FCSB, and there is once again no space for Marcus Rashford, but Alejandro Garnacho is included.

The Red Devils recorded a 2-1 victory over Rangers in their last European contest, with the result moving them into fourth spot in the Europa League table and in an excellent spot when it comes to reaching the knockout round.

A win would guarantee that Man United finish in the top eight, while a draw or a defeat could also be enough depending on results elsewhere, with the league phase of the competition concluding on Thursday night.

Amorim is expected to shuffle his pack for this clash with one eye on Sunday's Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly braced themselves for offers for Arsenal-linked forward Matheus Cunha before the transfer deadeline.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could do with a new centre-forward, having seen his current options hit by a serious injury to Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian is set to miss the remainder of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, leaving Kai Havertz as his only senior option to play as a central striker.

Arsenal are among the clubs that have been linked with a potential move for Cunha before the transfer window shuts on February 3.

Man United boss Ruben Amorim has reportedly been left 'unconvinced' by forward Rasmus Hojlund, who faces a battle to preserve his future at Old Trafford.

Hojlund is currently in his second season as a Man United player after completing a £72m move from Atalanta in the summer of 2023.

The Dane experienced a difficult start to Premier League life, failing to trouble the scorers in any of his first 14 matches in the English top flight.

However, he soon hit his straps to net 10 goals in the next 16 league games, helping him finish the season with 16 goals in 43 competitive appearances.

Manchester United's alleged hopes of signing Andreas Christensen before the end of the January transfer window have been ended, with the Denmark international ruled out of action for up to three weeks with a calf problem.

Christensen has only made one appearance for Barcelona this season due to a long-standing Achilles issue, but he has been back on the bench for his side's last three matches.

There has recently been speculation surrounding the 28-year-old's future, with Man United believed to be considering making a late move for the Dane, while Juventus are also thought to have been keen to sign him.

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick recently opened the door to a potential move in the latter stages of the market.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly held discussions with Dynamo Kiev regarding a potential deal for Volodymyr Brazhko.

The West Midlands outfit are eager to make a number of additions before the closure of the winter transfer window having dropped back into the Premier League relegation zone.

Four defeats in a row have left Vitor Pereira desperate for fresh faces, particularly in the middle of his backline and the engine room.

If reports are to be believed, Wolves have already failed to get deals over the line for Manu Silva, who has since joined Benfica, and Real Betis midfielder Johnny Cardoso.

Patrick Dorgu could make his Manchester United debut against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, with the Denmark international's switch to Old Trafford from Lecce potentially being completed on Thursday.

The 20-year-old is allegedly preparing to fly to Manchester with his agents to complete a move, with Man United coming to an agreement with Lecce over a transfer fee.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a verbal agreement has been reached over a deal worth €30m (£25.1m) plus €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons, while personal terms have already been agreed with the 20-time English champions.

Romano claims that the defender's medical has been booked in for Thursday, and providing that there are no complications, then there is a chance that Dorgu could be involved against Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.

Chelsea are reportedly attempting to sign a 16-year-old from Corinthians for a fee in the region of £10.5m.

Co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital are no strangers to negotiating deals for South American talent, an array of prospects having already moved or agreed to move to Stamford Bridge over the past two-and-a-half years.

With Chelsea currently in the process of loaning backup players elsewhere at a time when they are dropping down the Premier League table, the assumption has been that full focus would be placed on improving Enzo Maresca's senior squad.

However, according to Ge.Globo, Chelsea are in the process of splashing the cash on Denner, the cousin of Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have allegedly identified Besiktas playmaker Rafa Silva as a potential late transfer target.

With Emmanuel Agbadou the only player through the door at Molineux since his arrival, recently-appointed head coach Vitor Pereira is eager to recruit more fresh faces ahead of the closure of the winter window.

A new centre-back and central midfielder - ideally a player who can take on both roles - are deemed to be the priority roles, yet consideration is also being given further forward.

Just one goal has been netted in defeats to Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Arsenal, leaving Wolves in the Premier League relegation zone.

Dorgu and a striker: Man United 'considering late move' for Frenchman

      © Imago

Manchester United are reportedly "very well-informed" when it comes to Mathys Tel's situation at Bayern Munich, with the Red Devils considering a move for the forward in the latter stages of the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old is believed to have told Bayern that he wants to leave before the winter deadline, and Chelsea are said to be keeping a close eye on the developments, having been interested in the teenager over the summer.

However, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Man United are also firmly in the race, with Ruben Amorim's side, who are seemingly closing in a deal for Lecce's Patrick Dorgu, considering moving for Tel if either Marcus Rashford or Alejandro Garnacho leave Old Trafford.

"Understand Manchester United considering entering the race for Mathys Tel in the event of a departure of Alejandro Garnacho or Marcus Rashford... following Tel's decision to leave FC Bayern before Deadline Day," Plettenberg posted on X.

Real Betis are reportedly considering making a loan offer for Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have recently secured a loan deal for Antony, with the Brazilian moving to the Seville outfit from Man United for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Real Betis are considering another raid on Old Trafford, with Malacia wanted amid suggestions that the 25-year-old will be allowed to leave in the final stages of the January transfer window.

The report claims that 'multiple clubs' are keen on the Netherlands international, who has found it difficult to make his mark this season after returning from a serious knee injury which saw him miss almost 18 months of football.

Ruben Amorim with Marcus Rashford on November 26, 2024
      © Imago

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly 'no longer on speaking terms' with Marcus Rashford.

The 27-year-old continues to train with the first team at the club, but he has not been involved since December 12 and was again overlooked against Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday night.

When asked for an update on the situation after the 1-0 success over Fulham at Craven Cottage, Amorim said that nothing had changed, implying that Rashford was still not applying himself properly in training.

Amorim claimed that he would rather name 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital on his bench over a player who was not willing to give the maximum each and every day on the training field.
