Ukraine coach Oleg Blokhin has been named the new head coach of Dynamo Kiev.
The White and Blues have been without a manager for the past 24 hours since the club's board decided to part company with Yuri Semin.
Blokhin has been granted permission by the Ukrainian Football Association to accept the role on the understanding that he takes charge of the next two World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Montenegro in October.
After that point the federation will begin the search for his successor.
Former striker Blokhin, 59, spent 19 years as a player with Kiev.
