Eintracht Frankfurt nab two-goal advantage over Qarabag FK

Eintracht Frankfurt take a two-goal lead from the first leg of their Europa League clash against Qarabag FK.

Eintracht Frankfurt have secured a two-goal away cushion in their Europa League clash against Qarabag FK following the first leg.

Frankfurt were able to make the breakthrough after just six minutes of play through Alexander Meier, who was able to capitalise on his team's early dominance in the first half.

Finding the back of the net gave the visitors a vital away goal in the first leg, which Qarabag struggled to get into following the early blow.

While Frankfurt had the majority of chances in the first half, it was Chumbinho who had the chance to equalise in the dying minutes, but his strike missed the target.

The home side came out in the second half trying to find the breakthrough, but it wasn't to be as Frankfurt kept piling the pressure on as the match progressed.

Meier was able to get on the scoresheet yet again to dampen Qarabag's chances of taking a goal into the second leg.
