Timothy Chandler has claimed that he has no intention of quitting international football after Eintracht Frankfurt boss Armin Veh suggested his USA commitments were harming his chances with the club.
The full-back spent most of the summer with Jurgen Klinsmann's squad as they competed in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and he is expected to participate in a similar schedule for next year's Copa America.
However, Chandler insists that he will never turn down the opportunity to represent his country.
"If the coach includes me in the squad, I definitely want to take part in it," the 25-year-old told reporters.
"Physically, I did not lose too much. I don't have to start from scratch. I will be ready for the start of the Bundesliga season next week."
Chandler has won 26 USA caps at senior level.
