Preview: Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole previews Sunday's Bundesliga encounter between inconsistent sides Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund.

Eintracht Frankfurt face an inconsistent Borussia Dortmund side on Sunday in the Bundesliga, with both teams eager to improve their league standings.

Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund side have been Bayern Munich's biggest challengers over recent seasons, but they have had a torrid start to the current campaign, having lost seven of their 12 Bundesliga matches to leave them third from bottom in the table.

Dortmund are just two points above the bottom spot, and although they appeared to be turning things around with a win and draw in their last two league games, they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Frankfurt began the season well, suffering just one blemish in seven games, but after that, Thomas Schaaf's side succumbed to four defeats in a row and eventually responded with a 3-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend.

While Klopp, who has been linked with managerial moves to both Arsenal and Liverpool, has struggled to get his side going in the league, the German can draw on last season's results against Frankfurt, both of which his side won.

Depending on the results from the weekend, Frankfurt have the chance to move towards the top six should they snatch all three points, while Dortmund can climb up the bottom half of the standings.

On Sunday, the home side are likely to place Haris Seferovic and Marc Stendera at the top of the attacking line, while Milos Jojic could replace Marco Reus in the team as his German teammate remains on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage.
