Eintracht Frankfurt have announced the arrival of Hugo Ekitike from Paris Saint-Germain, with the forward joining the Bundesliga outfit on an initial loan deal.
Fulham are believed to have switched their attention to the striker earlier on deadline day when a deal for Armando Broja was stalling, but Marco Silva's side are now the favourites to sign the Chelsea forward on loan.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding Ekitike's future during the January market, and it has now been confirmed that Frankfurt have won the race for the 21-year-old.
The youngster has joined the German side on an initial loan deal, but there will be an option to make the move permanent this summer for €30m (£25.6m), according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Ekitike started his professional career with Reims before making the move to PSG in 2022, initially on loan, before completing a permanent switch to the French champions.
The former France Under-20s international has scored four times and registered four assists in 33 appearances for his parent club in all competitions.
Ekitike has not featured for PSG since the opening matchday of the 2023-24 Ligue 1 campaign against FC Lorient, though, and his exit has now been confirmed.
The forward managed 11 goals and four assists in 28 appearances for Reims and will now be looking to reignite his career in Germany's top flight.
Ekitike could make his debut for Frankfurt in the Bundesliga clash with FC Koln on Saturday.
