Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of midfielder Tobias Weis on loan from Hoffenheim until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old, who has made a total of 94 Bundesliga appearances and scored two goals, will wear the number 26 shirt for his new side.
The deal includes an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season, and Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubner was quick to express his delight at having signed the German.
"We're delighted to have been able to sign another player in Tobias Weis. He can play in a variety of positions across the midfield and that makes him another alternative for us," Hubner told the league's official website.
Frankfurt are currently hovering just one place and one point above the relegation playoff spot in the Bundesliga table, while Hoffenheim are three points better off in 12th.
