Sunday's Serie A predictions including Inter Milan vs. Juventus

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Inter Milan vs. Juventus.

Parma vs. Empoli (Sunday, 11.30am)

Both seeking their first win since September, Parma and Empoli will meet at Stadio Tardini for Serie A's Sunday lunchtime kickoff.

The hosts can catch their Tuscan counterparts on 10 points with a long-awaited victory, despite a run of six games without success.

We say: Parma 1-0 Empoli

Parma have posed a threat in most matches since gaining promotion, but hanging on to leads has proved a problem for the Gialloblu this season.

As goals seem to be drying up for Empoli, it could be time for the hosts to finally get three points over the line while keeping a precious clean sheet.

Lazio vs. Genoa (Sunday, 2.00pm)

After extending their perfect start in continental competition, Lazio return to domestic duty on Sunday, when they welcome Genoa to Stadio Olimpico.

Aside from last week's Serie A loss to Juventus, the Biancocelesti have been in superb form of late; meanwhile, their injury-hit visitors are seeking a first win since August.

We say: Lazio 2-0 Genoa

Having rested some key players on Thursday, an in-form Lazio squad should secure another win at the weekend, as they have too much firepower for their ailing opponents.

Now burdened by numerous injuries, Genoa have already conceded a league-high 13 goals during the second half of games this season, so they will eventually crumble.

Monza vs. Venezia (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Although Monza and Venezia are separated by four places in the Serie A table, the hosts are in higher spirits heading into Sunday's gameweek nine match at U-Power Stadium.

Monday's 3-0 success at Hellas Verona secured the Brianzoli's first win of 2024-25, and they aim to inflict the promoted club's fourth loss on the trot to keep them bottom of the standings.

We say: Monza 2-0 Venezia

While Monza will be wary of underrating their struggling opponents, Nesta's men should continue their recent fine form at Venezia's expense.

Although the hosts have not scored more than one goal in any game at U-Power Stadium this term, three of those four matches were against Inter, Bologna and Roma, and they aim to get more joy against the league's bottom club.

Inter Milan vs. Juventus (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Italy will come to a standstill on Sunday evening, as Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan and Juventus step into the ring for an eagerly-awaited Derby d'Italia.

The teams convene at San Siro, with reigning champions Inter leading a revived Juve by one point in the standings.

We say: Inter Milan 0-0 Juventus

This latest instalment of the Derby d'Italia will be a battle of trophy-winning experience against success-hungry youth: Inter have the highest average age in Serie A this season (29 years and 255 days), while Juventus have the second-lowest, more than five years younger.

Both teams are more than capable of keeping clean sheets - in fact, it is written deep within Juve's DNA - so a safety-first stalemate could disappoint an expectant San Siro.

Fiorentina vs. Roma (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Fresh from wins in Europe, two teams separated by three points in Serie A will clash at Stadio Franchi on Sunday evening, when Fiorentina meet Roma.

The Viola have run into top form since the end of September, while their counterparts from Italy's capital city are still seeking consistency.

We say: Fiorentina 1-1 Roma

Given Fiorentina's recent revival, they should start favourites, but Roma have developed a habit of scoring late on and could come away with one point.

The Giallorossi have netted 63% of their goals after the hour mark this season, so they can end the hosts' record as the only team yet to concede during the last 30 minutes.
