Reigning continental champions England are drawn to face the Netherlands, Wales and France in a tantalising Group D of Euro 2025.

England Women have been drawn in a tantalising Euro 2025 group, as the Lionesses will take on France Women, the Netherlands Women and Wales Women at next summer's tournament.

Sarina Wiegman's side are the reigning continental champions, defeating Germany 2-1 at Wembley two years ago to win their first major trophy, and England's first piece of silverware in senior international football since the 1996 World Cup.

However, England only entered Pot B for Monday's draw ceremony, having only managed a runners-up finish in their qualification group behind France, whom they will reunite with in Group D.

The Euro 2022 winners were condemned to a 2-1 home loss to France at St James' Park in May, before avenging that defeat with an identical triumph in Saint-Etienne four days later thanks to efforts from Alessia Russo and Georgia Stanway.

Also on the menu for England is a mouthwatering battle with the Netherlands, Wiegman's country of birth and the nation she managed to the Euro 2017 title, two years before a runners-up finish at the World Cup.

After leading England to Euros glory in 2022, Wiegman became first-ever manager to win the women's continental championships with two different teams, and just the fourth to clinch back-to-back Euros crowns.

Wales to meet England on tournament debut

A juicy section is completed by England's near neighbours Wales, who beat the Republic of Ireland 3-2 in their two-legged playoff to qualify for their first-ever major tournament.

Wales are one of two debutants at Euro 2025 alongside Poland, who have entered their own 'group of death' alongside eight-time winners Germany, 1984 champions Sweden and 2017 runners-up Denmark.

Meanwhile, reigning world champions Spain - who are yet to win the women's Euros - will take on Italy, Belgium and Portugal, all of whom are also searching for their maiden continental crowns, in Group B.

Finally, hosts Switzerland take on a trio of Nordic teams in Group A, where Finland, Iceland and Norway - who conquered the continent in 1987 and 1993 - are also housed.

The Women's Euro 2025 tournament runs from July 2 to July 27, concluding with the final at St. Jakob-Park in Basel on the latter date, and England's first match will be against France in Zurich on July 5.

The Lionesses will then take on the Netherlands in the same city four days later, before concluding their group-stage campaign against Wales in St. Gallen on July 13.
