Manager Fabio Capello says Wayne Rooney should be okay for England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales at Wembley on Tuesday after an injury worry.

Manager Fabio Capello says that Wayne Rooney should be okay for England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales at Wembley on Tuesday.

The Manchester United striker picked up an ankle knock towards the end of the Three Lions' win against Bulgaria on Friday.

"Rooney has a problem with his foot but I think he should be okay for Tuesday," said Capello.

When asked whether it could be his previously troublesome metatarsal, the Italian was quick to dispel the suggestion.

"It's a different part of his foot. His big toe. It's nothing, I think, but we will have to wait for a minimum of 24 hours."

England currently sit top of Group G, three points ahead of second-placed Montenegro.
