England midfielder Frank Lampard is reportedly expected to receive the news that he is out of Euro 2012 when he undergoes a scan on a thigh injury today.

Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard is expected to be taken out of the Three Lions squad for the European Championships due to a thigh injury.

The 33-year-old's inclusion of this summer's elite tournament was thrown into doubt when the playmaker pulled up in training during the national team's preparations for their friendly against Belgium this Saturday.

It is understood that the outcomes of a scan, which is due to be carried out today, are likely to indicate that Lampard will be unable to continue with England, according to Sky Sports News.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson will be called into the squad if necessary, which would make the Reds the most represented team in the Three Lions set-up.
