Aston Villa's Fabian Delph misses England training

Fabian Delph sits out England training after picking up a knock for Aston Villa against Manchester City at the weekend.

Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph was the only player absent from today's England training session at St George's Park.

The 24-year-old worked just in the gym as a precautionary measure after picking up a knock in Saturday evening's Premier League defeat to Manchester City.

He is still expected to be fit for Thursday's Euro 2016 qualifier against minnows San Marino after impressing on his first England call-up last month.

Delph particularly shone in his first start for the Three Lions against Switzerland in England's opening qualifier, which they won 2-0 to go top of Group E.
