Gabriel Agbonlahor pulls out of England's friendlies against Spain and Sweden due to a hamstring injury.

Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has pulled out of the England squad after suffering a hamstring injury in training yesterday.

The 25-year-old has travelled back to the Midlands in order to learn the full extent of his injury.

Agbonlahor was in contention to feature in the two friendlies against Spain and Sweden due to the absence of Wayne Rooney.

Club teammate Darren Bent is expected to play up front for Fabio Capello's side, with Frank Lampard and Gareth Barry the favourites to take the captaincy.

The Three Lions take on world and European champions Spain at Wembley tomorrow.
