England goalkeeper Fraser Forster is hopeful that he will get the nod to start at his old stomping ground Celtic Park when his side take on Scotland in an international friendly on Tuesday night.
Forster, who spent four years at Celtic before joining Southampton in the summer, will challenge West Bromwich Albion's Ben Foster for a place between the sticks in Glasgow this week.
England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that number one Joe Hart will be rested on Tuesday after he played the full 90 minutes in the Three Lions' 3-1 triumph over Slovenia on Saturday.
"It will be great to go back for the first time since I left, coming up against some close friends - Scott Brown, Charlie Mulgrew, Shaun Maloney, all top players, in a derby game, the sort you want to experience," Southampton's official website quotes Forster as saying.
"If I'm fortunate enough to play it'll be a special night."
Forster currently has two international caps to his name.
