Sir Geoff Hurst: 'Harry Kane is similar to Thomas Muller'

Sir Geoff Hurst says that the all-round game of Harry Kane reminds him of the style of Germany striker Thomas Muller.

Sir Geoff Hurst has expressed his belief that Harry Kane has similar attributes to Germany forward Thomas Muller.

The 21-year-old earned his first call-up to the England squad due to his exploits for Tottenham Hotspur this season, notching 29 goals in all competitions.

Hurst admits that he has been intrigued by the striker's game, and feels that he shares a resemblance to Bayern Munich forward Muller.

He told the Daily Mail: "He is deceptive - he is much better than you think he is. Harry is a bit like Thomas Muller, the Bayern Munich and Germany forward.

"On your first glance at Muller, he doesn't look like a footballer. He has his socks down his shins, looks ungainly. But he's a fantastic player. I liken Harry to that type of all-round player."

Kane will reportedly start England's Euro 2016 clash against Lithuania on the bench at Wembley.
