Former Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has declared that Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge is the England national team's top striker.
The pundit believes that the former Chelsea forward has replaced Wayne Rooney as the Three Lions' biggest goal threat, describing him as "breathtaking".
He told talkSPORT: "Sturridge is head and shoulders above everybody at the moment. I didn't think I would say that a couple of years ago.
"He looks breathtaking. Some of the football he is playing is brilliant. Not only is he scoring goals, but he's also making goals, he's flying.
"It would be a brave man to pick anybody, and I don't just mean Rooney, in front of Sturridge."
Sturridge has scored 19 goals for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
