Swansea City manager Garry Monk has said that Jonjo Shelvey could be called up to the England squad, following an improvement in his discipline.
Monk previously threatened to drop Shelvey due to his disciplinary record, but the 23-year-old has been booked just once in six games since returning from a four-match suspension.
"Jonjo towards the start of the season had some ups and downs and when he is focused and pushing, he can deliver great quality," Monk told The Mirror.
"That's what he has been doing, especially recently. He is working hard and if he continues to do that and push on, then he can do anything."
"He will have a chance [to be called up], of course. He is a great talent with unbelievable ability, unbelievable. He can go as far as he wants. It's as simple as that. All he has to do is make sure he is focused, his attitude is spot-on and he works hard."
Shelvey made his only England appearance in a 5-0 win over San Marino in October 2012.
