Stuart Pearce has said that his England team that faced the Netherlands on Wednesday lacked the "know-how" to close out the game.
England closed a 2-0 deficit only for former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben to seal a 3-2 win in stoppage time.
"Game management is an important thing for English players to learn," Pearce said.
"The Dutch showed on a couple of occasions when there were breaks on the goal they were quite happy to bend the rules in a pleasant way. It is game know-how.
"The Dutch had more know-how and more nous in the game, but you would expect that in regards to caps man for man."
England kick off their Euro 2012 campaign against France on Monday, June 11.
