Matt Prior has insisted that playing for England is his priority despite signing up for the Indian Premier League auction.
The wicketkeeper, who joins fellow teammates Kevin Pietersen and Eoin Morgan in declaring himself available for the competition, believes that he can be successful if selected by a franchise.
Prior said: "England will always be my priority but, as I'm currently only playing one format, I have decided to go into this year's IPL auction.
"It's an amazing competition and fingers crossed I get an opportunity this year.
"I've had success in Indian conditions and hope to get the chance to improve on that. We'll see what happens in the auction."
Craig Kieswetter is currently being preferred to Prior as England's wicketkeeper in limited-overs cricket.
