England Under-21s manager Stuart Pearce has urged his side to produce a performance "befitting of England" when they face Norway on Saturday.
England were beaten 1-0 by Italy in their opening match of the European Under-21 Championships and they need a win to avoid exiting the tournament in the group stages.
Pearce has said that the team are determined to make up for their disappointing display against the Italians.
"We have got a strong squad of players that want to put things right," Sky Sports News quotes Pearce as saying.
"Talk is cheap. We have spoken a bit about what has come out of the game. The important thing now for me is that the players deliver a performance befitting of England.
"We've got some good players in our team and too many of them didn't show that character. But I'm confident they will [against Norway]".
England currently sit bottom of Group A.
