Espanyol 1-1 Sevilla

Espanyol battle back from a goal down to claim a 1-1 draw with Sevilla at Cornellà - El Prat.

Sevilla have ensured a top-ten finish in La Liga with a 1-1 draw away at Espanyol.

The visitors were by far the better team during the first period, creating four decent openings before eventually breaking the deadlock.

Alvaro Negredo, Diego Perotti and Cala were all guilty of missing chances before Negredo put Sevilla in front in first-half injury time.

Alvaro Vasquez had the opportunity to equalise from an acute angle just after the break, but he slashed at it, sending it high and wide.

Espanyol drew level in the 77th minute through Philippe Coutinho, who struck past Andres Palop and into the top corner.
