Jose Antonio Reyes has signed a two-year contract with La Liga outfit Espanyol.
The experienced Spaniard officially departed Sevilla earlier this month following the expiration of his contract and it had been claimed that the attacker could hang up his boots at the age of 32.
However, Espanyol have moved quickly to acquire the former Arsenal forward, who has become the Catalan club's second summer signing following the acquisition of Roberto Jimenez from Olympiacos.
Reyes has also represented the likes Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Benfica during a well-travelled career.
Espanyol appointed former Watford boss Quique Flores as their new manager this summer.
