Everton's assistant manager Steve Round admits that he is "disappointed" with his side's 1-1 FA Cup draw with Sunderland.

Everton assistant manager Steve Round has admitted that the whole playing squad are "disappointed" with today's 1-1 FA Cup draw at home to Sunderland.

The hosting Toffees dominated large parts of the tie, but were unable to find a second goal that would have taken them into the semi-finals.

"We thought we did everything we could in the second half except stick the ball in the net," Round told reporters. "We piled on the pressure and had opportunity after opportunity, culminating in that double save, which was tremendous from their perspective.

"The lads are disappointed in there that we couldn't turn pressure into a goal.

"It took us a while to get a foothold but the last 20 minutes of the first half and all the second half, I thought we were terrific and unfortunate not to win."

The two sides will meet again at the Stadium of Light a week on Tuesday.
