Good afternoon everyone. There's been plenty of excitement in the Premier League this weekend, and we've got another interesting game for you as Everton host bottom club Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.

It's been a tough start to the season for Palace. Losing Tony Pulis on the eve of the new campaign was far from ideal, and Neil Warnock is still getting to know his squad. They're yet to taste victory, but a positive result today would hand Palace a big boost going forward.

Everton seem to finally be hitting their stride. Roberto Martinez's side were dominant against West Bromwich Albion last weekend, and put on an excellent show Thursday as they cruised to a 4-1 win over Wolfsburg in the Europa League. All good signs for the Toffees, but can they cope with the challenge of playing a few days after their European commitments.

Martinez will almost certainly make changes as he looks to rotate his players who have been pushed to their limits in the past week. Palace will provide a much different test to Wolfsburg, and how they adapt to a more familiar challenge will be crucial.

EVERTON: Howard, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Stones, Barry, McCarthy, Osman, Atsu, Eto'o, Lukaku

SUBSTITUTES: Robles, Gibson, McGeady, Mirallas, Naismith, Besic, Alcaraz

As expected, there's plenty of changes made by Martinez. Leon Osman, Christian Atsu and Samuel Eto'o come into the starting lineup to provide support for Romelu Lukaku, but we could see the Belgian partnered by his Cameroonian teammate. Sylvain Distin returns to the centre of defence alongside Phil Jagielka, with John Stones shifting to right-back to cover for the injured Seamus Coleman.

CRYSTAL PALACE: Speroni, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Kelly, Bolasie, Jedinak, McArthur, Ledley, Campbell, Puncheon

SUBSTITUTES: Hennessey, Mariappa, Guedioura, Doyle, Zaha, Gayle, Fryers

Interesting selection from Warnock. There's no room in the lineup for Wilfried Zaha, Dwight Gayle or Adrian Mariappa, but he's insisted on remaining positive as Fraizer Campbell, Yannick Bolasie and Jason Puncheon all provide good options going forward.

It's a brave, but necessary selection, from Martinez. Over the summer he made a point of improving the depth of his squad, and the likes of Atsu and Eto'o are great options to have when you're looking to make changes. Aiden McGeady, Kevin Mirallas and Steven Naismith have all been in good form this season, so it will be interesting to see how Everton cope with that trio on the bench.

There's no doubt that Everton head into this match as favourites, but we saw last season how Palace can raise their game against the bigger teams. They'll be a different side under Neil Warnock, and whether he risks playing an open style today is unclear. It's a big day for the visiting defence. Keeping Lukaku quiet is key.

RESULTS: Two matches have just finished in the Premier League, and not many people would have been predicting these scores. West Brom have caused a surprise by claiming a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, while Leicester City have beaten Manchester United 5-3 in a remarkable match at the King Power Stadium.

Where will this game be won and lost today? I mentioned Palace have a tough job on their hands to keep Lukaku quiet, but how they attack the hosts could be most important. In Puncheon and Bolasie, they have two wide players who are always willing to take on defenders further up the pitch. Stones plays at right-back, and although we've seen him play there before, Bolasie might fancy his chances against the England international.

PREDICTION: It's that time once again as I attempt to have a guess at what the score will be this afternoon. Changes can often disrupt a side's form, and Everton could start slowly following their midweek exploits, but I fancy them to nick this match 2-1.

Everton could climb up to sixth this afternoon with a victory over the Eagles. For Palace, it's all about getting off the bottom of the table. They've collected just two points this season, but would draw level with the Toffees if they can claim a win at Goodison Park.

Everton fans will be looking forward to seeing Atsu from the start today. The Ghanaian is an exciting talent, but can sometimes delight and frustrate in equal measure. One thing is certain, he will not be afraid of taking on defenders. We're just 15 minutes away from kickoff now.

It's going to have to be 90 minutes of focus from Palace today. The visitors are going to spend a lot of time without the ball, so restricting the space on offer to the hosts is vital. That could mean allowing Gareth Barry and James McCarthy to keep the ball in deeper positions to make sure the attacking quartet can't get free.

Goodison Park is almost full now. The players are lining up in the tunnel now and they will be presented to the supporters very soon. Can Palace spring a surprise today?

Here we go then. There's a great reception from the supporters as the players march out onto the pitch. Excellent noise coming from the Everton supporters, as always. Plenty of Palace supporters tucked away in the corner.

We're underway at Goodison Park. Fast tempo to this game straight away as both sides look to get onto the front foot.

The early signs suggest that Eto'o is indeed playing as a genuine strike alongside Lukaku. We know Everton can change things if they need to in this game.

Bolasie comes in off the left in an attempt to reach a clever pass from McArthury, but Howard is off his line quickly to collect just inside the box.

Not too much action in front of goal yet. Everton are being typically patient in possession, but Palace have held their shape well so far.

SHOT! Eto'o drops deep to collect the ball before hitting a weak effort straight at Speroni from 25 yards. Not a great strike from the Cameroonian.

Everton pile on the pressure, and they're rewarded with the opening goal. Osman is gifted too much space and he responds by sliding through a great pass for Lukaku, who stays calm in front of goal to slot past Speroni. Too easy for the hosts. Moments earlier, Atsu had fired into the side-netting.

Palace will simply not get away with giving so much room to Osman. It's all been a bit too relaxing for the Toffees early on. Not enough pressure on the ball from the visitors so far.

Palace have not responded to falling behind. Everton see a couple of deliveries into the box cleared as Dann attempts to rally the troops at the back. The visitors need a reaction soon.

Eto'o really wants a goal today! The former Chelsea forward set his sights on the top corner once again from distance, but his radar is still off as he fires well wide of the target.

Martinez will be delighted with what he's seeing at the moment. Everton are in cruise control as Barry and McCarthy dictate the tempo of the match. Palace are chasing shadows right now.

McCarthy gives away a free kick with a late challenge on Campbell. It's a good opportunity in a dangerous position, but Jedinak can only pick out the hands of Howard with his delivery. Everton back on the front foot.

Slightly better from Palace now as they increase the tempo of their play. Bolasie and Puncheon are being marked out of the game, though, and the visitors are often running out of ideas in the final third of the pitch.

Just as I mention how quiet he has been, Bolasie breaks away for the first time before curling in an inviting cross which no one is able to meet inside the box. Campbell had no chance of reaching the ball there, despite the good work of his teammate.

Everton are inches away from another opening as Eto'o plays a clever pass behind the Palace defence for Atsu, who is only just beaten to the ball by Speroni. Good goalkeeping.

Jedinak can't be too far away from a booking. He's made three or four fouls already, mostly in an attempt to keep the influential Osman quiet. The Australian's frustrating start continues when his speculative strike is blocked by Jagielka.

CHANCE! Great work from Everton as Eto'o takes a quick free kicks to start an attack which ends with Osman hitting a tame shot straight at Speroni from the edge of the box.

PENALTY! Palace have been gifted a way back into the match after Howard and Distin hesitated, allowing McArthur to break through and invite the foul from the American goalkeeper.

No mistake from Jedinak! The Palace skipper sends Howard the wrong way to level the scores.

That equaliser came out of nowhere. It looked like a training exercise in the early stages of the match, but Palace will be full of confidence now. Can Everton respond to the setback?

Everton are back on top. Lukaku ignores his options before watching a powerful strike charged down by the Palace defence. Eto'o and Atsu are looking lively, but Palace are improving as the first half progresses.

Martinez will be appealing for patience from his players. Palace have stepped up the intensity since equalising, but the Toffees are still the stronger passing side as we approach the closing stages of the first half. Everton will create chances. Can Palace do the same?

There's plenty to admire about McArthur. He keeps the ball very well, but is also willing to do the dirty work for his side when it's necessary. He's competing well with Barry and former Wigan teammate McCarthy.

Much better from Palace. They work the ball from left to right, with Bolasie and Puncheon both involved in the move. A pass is pulled back to the edge of the box for Ledley, whose strike is charged down by Distin. Promising play from the visitors.

CROSSBAR! I mentioned the Bolasie vs. Stones battle before the match, and it's proving to be an important one. The Palace winger displays all of his skill before cutting inside to earn himself room and rattle the crossbar with a great strike. What an effort! Palace so close to taking the lead.

Replays proved there was a slight deflection on Bolasie's strike. Six inches lower and it would have been 2-1. Howard had no chance with that one. Palace are improving just before the break.

The fourth official confirms that there will be two minutes added on.

Everton win a free kick in Baines territory in added time, but the England defender can only strike the wall from the edge of the box.

Michael Oliver brings the first half to an end at Goodison Park. Everton started strongly, but Palace have come back impressively since falling behind to Lukaku's early goal. Poor defending from Stones, Distin and Howard led to the penalty, which was superbly taken by Jedinak. Martinez will be worried that his side have been unable to build on a good start.

Martinez took a few key players out of the team following their efforts against Wolfsburg in midweek, but he may have to turn to them sooner than he would have liked. Eto'o and Atsu have seen plenty of the ball. However, their final ball has been poor far too often. McGeady, Mirallas or Naismith could be on very soon.

Warnock will be telling his team to continue their good work. There was a big change from the visitors after being gifted an equaliser. Bolasie has been involved more often, and if they can get closer to Campbell, they may feel a win is there for the taking.

The players are back out on the pitch at Goodison Park. It doesn't look like there will be any changes yet.

Big response from the home fans at the start of the second half. Everton enjoyed over 70% of possession before the break, but they must use the ball better now.

Everton miss an early chance to cause problems for the visitors as Baines watches an uncharacteristically poor free kick cleared at the near post.

Nervy moment for the Everton defence as Bolasie breaks free of his markers and looks to take on Howard. However, a late offside flag stops his progress.

CHANCE! Everton could have been ahead again. Stones makes a good run forward on the right before pulling the ball back for Eto'o, who drags a poor effort wide of the target.

That bright move has encouraged the Everton supporters, but they must take excellent chances like that. No sign of changes yet from Martinez. The Toffees are on top at the moment.

Palace take the lead! A bright start to the second half from Everton is ruined due to some poor goalkeeping from Howard, who completely misjudges a Kelly cross, allowing Campbell to nod home from close range. Can Palace hang on?

YELLOW CARD! Eto'o becomes the first player to receive a caution following a late tackle on Delaney.

Great work from Dann in the box as he reacts quickly to block a shot from Lukaku, who looked destined to equalise from inside the box. Barry then slices over moments later. All of that came from great work by Atsu on the wing.

Everton's pressure could play into the hands of the visitors as Bolasie sprints away on the counter before seeing an inviting cross evade Campbell in the box. He continues to be a threat for Palace.

CHANCE! Will Palace regret this miss? A fast counter-attack results in Puncheon finding himself in space inside the box, but he can only pick out the fans in the stand with a wayward strike.

SUBSTITUTION: No surprises from Martinez as he sends on Mirallas and Naismith to replace Stones and Atsu. Palace are in for a big fight from here.

It looks like McCarthy is the man who has been trusted to take the place of Stones at right-back. No holding back from Martinez. He knows how important it is to beat teams like Palace on your own patch.

Baines is getting forward as much as possible, but his eagerness to level the scores ends in disappointment as he fires straight at Speroni from the edge of the box.

Palace take a huge step towards their first Premier League win of the season! It's the impressive Bolasie who scores his side's third of the afternoon as he latches onto a clever pass from Puncheon, before firing a low shot past a helpless Howard.

Delaney was forced off the pitch for a few moments after being struck on the head inside the box, but it looks like he can continue.
