Sylvain Distin expects to challenge in FA Cup, Premier League

Sylvain Distin believes that Everton are still in a good position to achieve success in the Premier League and the FA Cup.

Sylvain Distin has insisted that Everton are ready to reach their targets in both the FA Cup and the Premier League this season.

The Toffees are currently eight points outside the Champions League places but are still in contention in the FA Cup following a 3-1 win over Swansea City on Sunday, a result which earned them a spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.

"We're still in a really good position and we're doing very well," Distin told the club's official website.

"I know we had a setback recently but we're still in the race to finish in the top four and we're in the cup, so it's an exciting season so far."

Everton return to Premier League action on Saturday with a visit to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea.
