Everton defender Luke Garbutt has set his sights on securing a loan move away from the club to earn greater experience.
The 22-year-old is currently behind Leighton Baines in the pecking order at Goodison Park, and manager Roberto Martinez has suggested to the England Under-21 international that a short-term switch would be good for his development.
Garbutt told the club's official website: "The manager has hinted that I'm going to go out on loan, so hopefully a successful campaign will help me get a lot more games under my belt to hopefully kick on next season with Everton.
"I'm definitely looking forward to going out and getting that experience. At the end of the day it's about playing football and that's what I love to do. Getting out on loan and playing a few more games is hopefully going to benefit me in the long run."
Garbutt made 10 appearances for the Toffees last season.
