Roberto Martinez: 'Steven Pienaar could return against Hull City'

Roberto Martinez confirms that Steven Pienaar is in contention to play against Hull City on Sunday.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that there is a possibility of Steven Pienaar playing in the final game of the Premier League season.

Pienaar has been out of action since March with a knee injury, but Martinez claims that the progress made by the South African could see him named in the squad for Sunday's match with Hull City.

"Steven has been working with the team and that is very positive," the Spaniard told Everton TV.

"We will assess him before Sunday to see whether he can play a part or not."

Everton are currently fifth in the table.
