Roberto Martinez hopeful Romelu Lukaku will be fit to face Crystal Palace

Roberto Martinez says that he is hopeful of Romelu Lukaku being fit for Everton's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku is likely to be fit for this Saturday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

The Belgium international was forced off the field in the second half of the Toffees' goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday after his knee connected with the head of Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

However, the club have posted on their official Twitter page that Martinez is hopeful that Lukaku will be fit for Saturday.

While Lukaku could feature, Martinez has confirmed that Arouna Kone will be sidelined for a lengthy spell due to a cartilage problem.
