Everton's Phil Neville to miss two months of action after knee op

Neville out for two months

Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed that Phil Neville could be sidelined for two months after having a knee operation.

The Scotsman revealed the news following the Toffees' 2-1 defeat to Reading, despite taking the lead at the Madejski Stadium.

"Phil Neville had an operation on his knee and is probably out for six to eight weeks," said Moyes. "We missed our senior players today."

Meanwhile, Neville is expected to sign a new contract at Goodison Park.
