Team News: Andros Townsend makes Newcastle United debut

Andros Townsend makes his first appearance for Newcastle United following his recent £12m switch from Tottenham Hotspur.

Andros Townsend has been named in the Newcastle United starting lineup for tonight's clash away at Everton.

The recent £12m signing from Tottenham Hotspur has come into the side at the expense of Rolando Aarons, while Ayoze Perez has replaced Aleksandar Mitrovic in attack.

However, Seydou Doumbia has been made to wait for his Newcastle debut, having only been included among the substitutes at Goodison Park.

As for Everton, Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry have both been reinstated following their absence from the FA Cup game away at Carlisle United on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Tim Howard is ruled out with a knock, though, which has seen Joel Robles come in between the posts.

There is also no place in the squad for centre-back John Stones, who has had his performances criticised over recent weeks.

Everton: Joel; Oviedo, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Coleman; McCarthy, Barry, Cleverley, Lennon, Barkley; Lukaku
Subs: Stanek, Baines, Gibson, Kone, Deulofeu, Osman, Pienaar

Newcastle United: Elliot; Janmaat, Mbemba, Coloccini, Dummett; Sissoko, Saivet, Shelvey, Townsend, Wijnaldum; Perez
Subs: Darlow, Lascelles, Taylor, Gouffran, Aarons, Doumbia, Mitrovic
